waka ama...

this is also something to do with the summer learning journey.

  1. Waka ama is a pretty hard sport and I agree that you can play whichever sport you want and if that's your choice it's your choice no one can stop you just remember that . By the way my name is nastaiz .

  3. Kia ora Andrew,

    I like how you recognise that it might not be your kind of sport. Do you think you would have a go if you had the opportunity? It does look like a lot of fun but also a lot of hard work. I really like the look of waka ama because you can see where your opponents are and would give me the motivation to work harder. Could you imagine how hard it must have been for the first settlers who canoed over from the Polynesian islands in a waka. They would have had to travel through storms and waves for weeks to arrive in New Zealand. Would you be one of the brave people to make that journey?
